Mainly because it feels good but, for me, it also represents freedom and one of the few chances I get to completely let myself go and not focus on getting someone to like me or whatever. It's very relaxing for me.
Though I honestly don't have it as much as people probably think, though. Pretty much just when I'm dating someone, I don't do one night stands.

Uhhhmmm...okay. What is it about sex you find so appealing, then? /Curiosity!

Which of the following would you rather discuss with someone you just met? (1) Sports (2) Politics (3) Philosophy and/or Religion (4) Music / Film / Other Art (5) Something else altogether
(4) and/or (5). As Rob from High Fidelity said, "It's what you like that matters, not what you ARE like."
It runs pretty true, really.
Hypothetically, and if the lack of either wouldn't affect your health, which would you give up: sex or sleep?
Sleep. I'd have a ton more time for stuff and I love sex too much to give it up.
A document is left on a desk. It's a plan to save the company from bankruptcy. There's no name on the document. Do you show the document to the directors or do you show your co-workers saying the company is almost insolvent? Do you claim it as your own?
Show it to the directors and I probably wouldn't claim it as mine.
When you say you've got a "tune stuck in your head" is it just the general tune or is it so vivid and complete we could hook your brain up to speakers as if it were a music player of some sort?
Normally it's just a few lines of one song. Not the whole song and there isn't some kind of visual in my head. Unless the song reminds me of someone, in which case I'm thinking of them.
What issues not normally associated with interventions do you wish you could hold them for?
Sever incorrect use of spelling and/or grammar in writing. That includes the internet. If you're doing it ironically, fine, but if you don't actually know the difference, that's when it gets annoying for me.
Whats one thing you really want to try in bed, but haven't yet?
There are actually lots. I have a list, too.

What's the longest book you've ever read and finished? What was the approx. page count?
Hmm. I'd have to go look, really. Possibly Zadie Smith's 'On Beauty' and that's about like 700. But it could also be my copy of 'War and Peace' because it's more of a novel size whereas the Zadie Smith book is bigger. If that makes sense. :/
We're having sex - which position do you enjoy the most and why?
Doggy style. And... it's better for the woman, let's just say that. :P
You are stuck on a desert island, what do you take with you? (5 items, no more, no less).
I'm going to assume I have access to electricity. So,
1. My phone (plus charger)
2. My computer.
3. My PSP (plus charger)
4. Portable modem
5. My DS
Why are you best friends with your best friends?
Because he's an awesome person. He has the same sort of sense of humour as I do and we believe in pretty much the same things. We have similar interests and he's been there for me a lot. I've had a lot of best friends but none that I've thought would stand the test of time as I do with my best friend now. If that makes sense.
You are missing a Princess, who do you get to find her: Mario or Link?
Hm. Mario would probably take less time/hassle to find her but (adult) Link is more attractive...
Link.
Can you tell when someone is being vulnerable or just insecure?
Sometimes. Depends on the situation. Though either way, I try to make people feel better. Sometimes when I shouldn't.
A family heirloom has been stolen and you are not sure who did the deed, upon who do you ask to solve this crime, Sherlock Holmes or Professor Layton?
Sherlock Holmes. I'm pretty sure he'd solve the mystery a fuckton faster without having to solve puzzles and shit.
Also, Professor Layton is a dick.
Duke Nukem Forever is on the verge of release. Do you think GameStop/EB will honor all the pre-orders placed circa the year 2000?
I have no idea but I kinda hope not. That would be pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to playing though I have low hopes.
What's the best feature film based on a video game in your opinion?
In a "so bad it's good" way, the Super Mario Bros. film. In a "actually fairly decent", probably Mortal Kombat.
What's the greatest internet meme of all time?
This is a tough question. I like me some Advice Animals and card crusher. I guess I'll go the Advice Animals
What makes you smile?
Aside from the obvious things, the person that I have a crush on/am in love with. If I always smile around you, even if you only look at you, it may be you!
How much would it take for you to run around a school campus, screaming obscenities at everyone you see?
Not much, if it was my old school.
When it's time to party will you party hard?
I usually do. With/without alcohol. I'm awesome company!
What are your three favorite first names of the opposite sex?
Didn't I just answer this?
1. Scott.
2. Tom.
3. I don't know. Ben, I guess?
People say that some bands are no longer "relevant." Can a band be "relevant" or "irrelevant" and what makes one so?
Maybe if they only write songs about things currently happening in the news that just can't be understood as metaphors? Or something?

When singers sing "I wanna hold you forever" in songs, does it just highlight a chronic lack of the understanding of the 2nd law of thermodymanics?
Um... Yes?
Science isn't my strong suit :(
What's the most impressive thing someone has ever said to you?
"If you really need me, tell me and I'll be there" said by an ex and my best friend.
So far, he's lived up to it.
What is your favorite kind of booze?
Depends what I'm doing. If I'm getting drunk just for the sake of it, vodka.
Could you love a monster man? Could you understand beauty of the beast?
A literal monster man or a monster of a man? Because I've loved a few of the latter.
Not sure about the former.
What is the most immature thing you did in the last week?
I've been fairly mature this last week, honestly. Probably some stupid stuff I said to my best friend last night but I don't remember. :/
Do you have an inspirational figure you look up to that most people would never have heard of?
I have two real life ones: My mum and my best friend but also some celebrities. Namely, Nick Hornby and Lynn Barber. Nick Hornby is a writer and has an autistic child. Lynn Barber is a writer that started out writing for Penthouse. They both inspire me for different reasons.
What is the ONE release in 2011 you're really looking forward to?
DC Universe Online. Though I won't be able to play it much until I upgrade my computer. Which will hopefully be pretty soon!
People frequently recite the epithet that if one is not gainfully employed they aren't "contributing to society." What job do you believe doesn't even do that?
Artists. Haha, I kid, I kid. Honestly, I don't know. If you take one person out from doing something, the chain reaction would probably be horrible.
But I don't believe that people who aren't employed don't contribute to society.
Hey, haven't seen you on the Arkham City forums lately. Hope all's well. Anyway, what games and/or movies are you looking forward to this year?
Well, thanks hun! I'm ok, going through a lot of emotional stuff lately. Hopefully I'll be returning soon, not sure if that stuff will be resolved by then or not though.
I'm looking forward to DC Universe Online, Arkham City (obviously), Portal 2, the 3DS and many of it's games and probably some others but I can't remember now.
Movie wise I'm looking forward to Thor, Captain America, Green Lantern... Spiderman, probably. I dunno, I don't look at up and coming movie releases until it's a couple of months until they're being released. I'm deathly scared of spoilers.
Do you believe that advertising is a form of poetry or that advertising dilutes the "true art" of poetry?
I don't think it's necessarily poetry but I completely agree that it can be art.

What's the best thing that happened to you in 2010?
Best thing: Dating my ex
Worst thing: Mum's cancer returning
Worst after that: Losing my ex
Do you see a service that's available overseas and think "fucking hell, why don't we have that here in Australia yet?"
Netflix, mainly. Apparently it's awesome and I want it. They don't have that here, yeah?
What's more hurtful? Being lied to or being betrayed out in the open?
Having recently experienced both, the latter.
Do you eat rice with a fork, spoon or chopsticks?
I honestly have not eaten rice in a loooong time. I can use chopsticks but normally I just use a spork or whatever they give me.
What's the lamest gig or live event that you've ever been to?
Recently, to see some UFC fighters. Nothing against them or the genre (since then I've enjoyed it more) but it was a LONG wait and I didn't know who the hell they were. I don't regret going though since my friend enjoyed it, just didn't have much there for me.
Aside from that, some pub bands I can't remember the name of.
What percentage of arguments have you had that are merely misunderstandings over the meanings of words or differences of opinion?
Happens a lot lately around my best friend's family. They don't have my kind of sense of humour and thus get offended by stuff I say really easily. It's not even anything bad, they just don't understand I'm meaning it as a joke. They've also tried to twist my meanings behind my words too.
Were you ever told something over and over as a kid, believed it to be true until you realized the opposite was actually closer to reality?
This could possibly insult people but it was the first thing that came to my mind: When I was a kid, I went to a Christian school and was thus surrounded by religion. Up until I was like 10 or something, I believed everything they told me. And they told me some scary things. I also read the bible a lot in school (because they made us) and took us around the church there. They showed us many statues, some where Jesus was tortured/killed and it really freaked me out. Freaked my sister out more so. Apparently, if you mentioned Easter to her, she'd freak the fuck out. But anyway, eventually, I stopped believing it all and became an atheist. I refused to go to church, refused to read the bible, etc. I was a troublemaker and a truant. Religion really wasn't (and still isn't) my thing.
You're given a sizable cash advance to write a novel. What's it about?
Do short stories count? I'd be able to write those more easily. If that doesn't, I dunno what I'd write a whole book about. Maybe something nerdy, I've had an idea in my head for a while.
I would be amazed at the amount of [insert product here] you own.
VHS tapes. I still have a fuckton of them. Can't remember the last time I watched one. I also own lots of records still but that's a little cooler than having too many VHS tapes. :(
What question do you wish someone would ask you on formspring?
Stuff more based on my interests and likes/dislikes. Or just some questions that are more interesting than the ones I'm getting.
Who would you like to be in a room with for an hour?
Non-sexually: Nick Hornby
Realistically: My best friend
Sexually: Possibly Tim Curry (if he was wearing the full Frank-N-Further outfit)
Do you have a favorite pen(or pen type)? Do you get upset when someone takes it or if you lose it? (or is it just me?)
Oddly, I have favourites of a lot of things. Including pens. It used to be this Eevee pen but that lost the ink. Then it was this awesome Shakespeare pen. I do get pretty upset, I get pretty attached to things.
If you had a totally embarrassing first name, would you go by your current middle name (assuming you have at least one?)
I'm actually contemplating using my middle name (Emily) instead of my first name (Laura). I'm still debating which I'd rather use, I'm leaning more towards Emily but seems like Laura wasn't so unpopular as I thought.
Do you have a "second date rule?" - i.e, a date displays an intolerable/unpleasant behavior on the second date thus you grant them no third date. If so, what is it?
Not really. I think if they did something too bad (for example, was really rude to me or someone who doesn't deserve it) I'd probably just avoid them as much as I could. But so far there's been nothing so big that I rejected them, I'm too scared of that.
Have you ever "drafted" a status update or tweet in your head before posting it?
I do that every time I go to post something, dude.
Are you the kind of person that avoids rejection at any cost or rushes "straight to the rejection" so you know where you stand?
Avoids rejection. When I like someone, I almost never let them know unless I know for sure that they like me or I can easily pass it off as something else.

As technology advances do you think the people who rely on it are becoming less intelligent?
It depends how you use it. If you use the internet to learn new things, it's a brilliant resource. But I have seen many people that use the excuse "it's just the internet" to explain their poor spelling and/or bad grammar. I've given up letting it annoy me and lecturing others for it but I do appreciate when people write well.
If you had to convert to a religion, what would you convert to and why?
I really wouldn't want to but probably Buddhism. It's the least hateful religion I know.
What do you think of the United States of America? What do you think of Americans? Don't worry you won't offend me at all.
I think America, and most Americans, think they're the best country in the world. Which is fucking arrogant and untrue. I think America has a lot of problems which they either ignore or downplay. To become a better country they need to accept this and try to fix it but the majority of Americans don't want to.
That's my opinion of America in general. I know plenty of Americans that are the total opposite of this but that's my opinion of many Americans. Not ALL Americans but some/most.
Thanks for this question, I don't often get such intelligent and thoughtful ones. It's nice for a change.
Do you have any controversial opinions?
Religion can amazingly fuck everything up, if you let it.
Sex is fantastic and it shouldn't have such a taboo behind it.
Most of my opinions are controversial but that's the top two.
